The annual High Desert Shooting Fun Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Lions Pride Park and Shooting Range in Lucerne Valley.
The family-oriented event will feature free admission and parking. Proceeds from this event benefit the Lucerne Valley Lions Club Foundation and the Happy Trails Children’s Foundation.
Attendees may try a variety of shooting styles including cowboy action and action pistol shooting and try out the new NRA 3-gun shoot with .22 pistols, .22 rifles and .12 Ga. shotguns. Also available are the guns of the Mountain Men and Buffalo hunters and/or the Civil War and guns of World War II and/or modern military rifles and pistols. Much more shooting opportunities will be available.
The range is open to the public on Tuesday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. for those who wish shoot with their own guns and ammo. There is a fee for using the range on those days.
Eye and ear protection required for all participants and spectators in the shooting area (safety glasses and ear plugs will be available on site).
